Great little motel. Neat and clean with modern bathroom.
Be advised, wifi and cell coverage is really tough here in the mountains. If you go out by the flagpole you can get cell coverage.
As the only motel in the area, this was the best option when we came to WV to visit family in the hollow. The rooms are dated, but clean and functional. We experienced friendly service and a good stay.
I had a moto crash on hiway 16 and the wrecker driver said Count Gilu is the ONLY place to stay in Welch.
Since I didn't have transportation the man on duty drove me to Wendy's so I could grab a bite to eat. Talk about above and beyond expected courtesy!!! That was great.

This hotel is a unique gem that has all the charm of a 1950s roadside hotel. Large bathroom and clean sheets helped make the stay very enjoyable.
